A William & Mary Period Walnut Veneered Double Domed Bureau Bookcase
The upper section with a double-domed top which has crossgrain concave mouldings decorated with gilded finials above a pair of mirrored doors which open to reveal a fully fitted interior of pigeon holes and drawers with a pair of candle slides below.
The lower section with a bureau flap which is quarter veneered, feather banded and crossbaded and opens to reveal an interior of pigeon holes and drawers arranged around a central door; below are two short and two long graduated drawers; raised on bun feet.
The bookcase retains an excellent colour and patination and has been veneered throughout in well chosen figured walnut.
