A William & Mary Oyster Veneered Chest

A rare William and Mary oyster veneered and marquetry inlaid chest of drawers; the top veneered in oysters of olivewood and crossbanded in olivewood inlaid to the centre with a marquetry panel of flowers surrounding a parrot and with marquetry panels of flowers to the corners, having unusual painted sides and with two short and three long graduated drawers which are inlaid with marquetry and have pear drop handles; raised on later bracket feet.
