Large Pair of Nineteenth Century Cast Iron Recumbent Lions
A wonderful pair of early Nineteenth Century cast iron recumbent lion sculptures on their original plinths; beautifully modelled with flowing manes, large paws and characterful faces. The lions were made in sections and were probably intended for entrance gate piers or on a portico.
The lions make quite a statement and could easily be used in a hallway, orangerie our out in the garden.
