A Pair Of Puginesque Firedogs
A superb pair of late 19th Century Gothic revival firegilded bronze fire dogs; with a lion rampant supporting a Tudor rose raised on a spiral fluted column which terminates in arched legs centred by a heraldic shield and decorated by Tudor roses; inspired by A.W.N. Pugin.
These fire dogs are of superb scale and retain traces of the original firegilded finish.
