Pair Sterling Silver Victorian Wine Coasters
A pair of Early Victorian Sterling silver wine coasters by Joseph and John Angell modelled and hand engraved in the rococo revival taste. The wine coasters' sides hand raised and pierced and applied with rococo scrolls; the interior hand engraved with a bull crest surrounded by flowing rococo acanthus scrolls; having a mahogany base. The wine coasters are both clearly hallmarked for Joseph and John Angell, London, 1838.
