Pair Of French Empire Amboyna Fauteuil Armchairs
A handsome pair of French Empire fauteuil armchairs veneered in amboyna; the armchair's cresting rail inlaid in purpleheart with a paterae flanked by scrolling lotus leaves above the upholstered back; the armchair has down scrolling arms with padded arm rests above an upholstered seat and raised on elegant sabre legs. The armchairs' amboyna showwood frames are strung through out in purple heart and the fauteuils have been reupholstered in mohair velvet.
