Georgian Mahogany Bookcase

This item is sold

A George II period mahogany two door bookcase; the stepped cornice above a pair of glazed doors which open to reveal adjustable shelves and raised on a plinth base.

This bookcase's simple clean design is typical of the best furniture from the early Georgian period and its slim astragals and handsome proportions owe much to the designs of Batty Langley.
