George I oak and burr yew chest on stand
A handsome George I period oak and burr yew chest on stand; the boldly projecting cornice crossgrain veneered in burr yew above two short and three long graduated drawers which retain their original engraved brass handles; the base with two short drawers above an ogee arch shaped frieze and raised on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The carcass is crossgrain veneered between the drawer fronts in nicely figured yew wood and the drawers retain their original handles.
