A Regency Convex Mirror
A Regency period carved giltwood and bronzed convex mirror; the mirror plate set within a reeded and acanthus carved frame surmounted by an eagle above an acanthus spray and with a crisply carved acanthus leaf apron.
Bearing a label to the reverse for Ackermann and Co.
Provenance
Ackermann and Co. (1796-1840) were specialist carvers and gilders trading at 101 Strand from 1796 and moved to 96 Strand in 1827.
