Adam Furniture
Robert Adam (1728-92) was the preeminent architect of the Georgian period and designed some magnificent furniture, notably for Sir Lawrence Dundas, which was then made by Thomas Chippendale. Adam was one of the first Georgian architects to design complete interiors including furniture and carpets which would enhance the interior decoration of his projects. Osterley Park and Syon House, both on the fringes of London are beautiful examples of his style.
