A George III Adam period mahogany tea caddy; the top veneered with two panels of flame mahogany, crossbanded in mahogany and barber's pole stringing opening to reveal two lift out lids and inlaid to the inside of the top with a shell on a harewood ground; the front veneered with two panels of flame mahogany, crossbanded in mahogany and with barber's pole stringing. Retaining the original hinges and lock. Having a lovely colour and patination.
