A Chippendale period quilted mahogany tea caddy
A George III Chippendale period tea caddy veneered in quilted mahogany; the lid with a rococo swan neck handle which opens to reveal an interior divided into three sections; having barber's pole stringing to each edge and raised on ormolu ogee bracket feet.
I love how the quilted mahogany catches the light and seems to have a three dimensional quality. The rococo brass work is all original.
This antique tea caddy is for sale at our London antique shop on Kensington Church Street. We ship worldwide.
