Antique tea caddies and antique boxes

Browse our collection of antique tea caddies for sale, they are all on display at our London antique shop on Kensington Church Street. In the 18th Century tea was a highly fashionable and expensive commodity and crafstmen created beautiful antique boxes to keep the tea safe. The term caddy comes from the Malay word 'kati' which was the unit used for selling tea. Our collection of antique tea caddies includes examples from the Georgian period including beautiful tea caddies from the Chippendale and Sheraton periods.
