Georgian Chippendale mahogany kneehole desk
A George III Chippendale period mahogany kneehole desk; the top crossbanded in mahogany above a drawer and a central recessed door flanked by banks of three graduated drawers to either side and raised on bold ogee bracket feet. The desk has canted corners which are carved with blind fretwork and the drawers are veneered in beautifully figured Cuban mahogany and retain their original swan neck handles. This desk retains a superb colour and patination.
