A Regency period japanned console table; the later verde antico marble top above a frieze japanned with chinoiserie figures and acanthus leaves and raised on powerful cabriole legs which are decorated with acanthus leaves to the knee and terminate in carved paw feet.
The console table's japanned decoration has survived in excellent condition and its bold cabriole legs give the table an amazing sense of presence.
