Georgian Fruitwood Chest Of Drawers

A wonderful George II period fruitwood chest of drawers constructed from cherry; the twin plank overhanging top above two short and three long graduated drawers which have ovolo mouldings; raised on the original bracket feet.

This Georgian chest of drawers is a wonderful example of vernacular cabinet-making, I love the overhanging top and the chunky bracket feet. Georgian furniture made from fruitwood is much sought after and this chest has a beautifully warm colour and patination.

This chest of drawers has not been restored.
