The answer is to try and buy from a BADA dealer. Members of the British Antique Dealers' Association (BADA) are elected by their peers and are expected to have high quality stock which is correctly described and dated. Not always the case at auction. All BADA dealers have accrued years of experience in their chosen field and they will be more than happy to share their experience with you.
