Despite the London Evening Standard dubbing it 'The (very)Unaffordable Art Fair' Masterpiece was undoubtedly the star of the London fairs in June. In its purpose built marquee Masterpiece set out to sell the Best of the Best and in its design and the quality of its exhibits it undoubtedly succeeded.

Like many I was dubious about how vintage cars and luxury handbags would gel with the traditional antiques but they brought a much needed freshness to the fair. This coupled with the glamour brought by outposts of The Ivy and Harry's Bar elevated Masterpiece to a new level on the Antique Fairs scene. As Country Life stated 'it has become the most exciting and talked about fixture for years'.
