Reindeer Antiques Ltd

It is that time of year again when we are turning our minds to gift ideas for our loved ones or getting our homes ready for entertaining.

Here are some ideas that may inspire you...

The Tunbridge ware box is beautifully decorated with parquetry veneers and is ideal for holding jewellery, cuff links and watches. Another similar Tunbridge ware box can be seen on my website.

The Georgian bracket is a superb piece of late baroque carving and is perfect for displaying a piece of sculpture or a large vase.

On the baroque theme the pair of fire dogs are of magnificent scale and would be the perfect finishing touch to a handsome fireplace.

If you have time to visit the shop we have an extensive display of cartoons and prints ranging from the Georgian period to modern including the full selection of Tottering by Gently cartoons.

I wish you all a very happy Christmas and I look forward to welcoming you to the shop soon.

A carved George II limewood wall bracket; with a central female mask surrounded by C scrolls, flowers, vine leaves and grapes. The whole bracket is beautifully carved by a highly accomplished craftsman drawing inspiration from Baroque designs. The bracket's size and powerful carving make it an ideal focal point for a wall or the end of a corridor and it would originally have been used for displaying a large vase or piece of sculpture.
