Reindeer Antiques Ltd

The use of brass inlay to decorate English Furniture became highly fashionable in the Regency period and the chiffonier illustrated below is one of the finest examples we have owned. Unusually it is signed and dated by the cabinet-maker, Eliezer Porter and reflects the influence of George Bullock who was one of the most influential designers of the Regency period.

In contrast to the chiffonier's extravagant use of brass inlay the Regency tea caddy shows how used sparingly brass inlay can have a very clean and elegant look. This caddy is in superb condition and retains its original interior lids.

We have just updated our website and it can be viewed at www.reindeerantiques.co.uk
