This month we are illustrating some interesting pieces of seat furniture that have just come back from restoration.

It is increasingly difficult to find a proper period sofa or settee. This Hepplewhite sofa is a particulary elegant model and with its down cushion is extremely comfortable.

The Regency chaise longue in contrast has boldly executed carving and the use of a dolphin motif for the scrolling arms suggests an Irish origin.

I love the miniature windsor armchair and it would make an ideal christening present. It is charming and my 2 year old daughter is particularly taken with it.

Since our last newsletter we have updated the website and it can be viewed at www.reindeerantiques.co.uk
