An early Nineteenth Century comb back armchair in the Welsh vernacular tradition; the armchair's curved fruitwood top rail above turned fruitwood spindles and ash arms; the armchair's comfortable seat is shaped from a beautifully figured piece of elm and raised on turned legs united by an H-stretcher.

The design of this armchair is unusually sophisticated with the strong curve to the top rail, the scrolling at the end of the arm and the strong rake to the back. The armchair also has a superb colour and patination.
